At ‘Castillo de Jijona’ we are so proud of our history and our artisan know-how that we have decided to update and upgrade the brand to gratify our long-standing clients, while reaching new generations and new territories.
We are proud to include the name of Jijona in our brand. We know that the true vanguard of this sector paradoxically consists in maintaining the unique artisan tradition in the world that has its roots before the 15th century, through our master nougat makers.
Nougat contains proteins (almonds and eggs), 7 of the 9 essential amino acids, antioxidants, essential fatty acids (mainly unsaturated, similar to olive oil), carbohydrates (from honey and sugar) and vitamins A , E, B1 and B2. The almonds also provide minerals (magnesium, iron, potassium), great energy value and low sugar content.
We have been incorporating new flavours apart from the classic ones; the new ‘Vegan’ and ‘Jijona’s Delights’ lines are now available; and we continue to innovate in formats, flavours and culinary uses of our inimitable Jijona Nougat.
